Fall 2010 Building Hours, Transportation Information & Dining Hours
MICA’s building hours are determined by a task force of students, faculty, and staff to help assure that services are generally available during peak hours but also that the schedule promotes energy efficiency through responsible and thoughtful scheduling of facilities. Holiday and interim periods will adhere to a separate schedule that will be published and made available to the MICA community. During the final three weeks of the semester, campus buildings will be 24/7 to help students prepare for final assignments/critiques. See the entire list of building hours...

MICA Explores Intolerance Through "The Narcissism of Minor Differences," Dec. 9–March 13

MICA will host "The Narcissism of Minor Differences," an exhibition showcasing 17 acclaimed artists, including Francisco de Goya, Philip Guston and Sam Durant, who will explore the dark side of intolerance using art, historical artifact and documentation.

Artscape at MICA: 2010 Janet & Walter Sondheim Prize Semifinalists Exhibition

MICA once again serves as a venue for Artscape, America's largest free public arts festival and organized by the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts, with an exhibition of work by the semifinalists for the 2010 Janet & Walter Sondheim Prize. Of the 38 semifinalists in this year's highly competitive award, 24 are members of the MICA community.

M.A. in Art Education Program Presents Visual Investigations, July 26–30

While working in their summer studios at MICA, the art educators enrolled in the M.A. in Art Education program are challenged to investigate a conceptual issue of deep personal interest, and the thesis exhibition presents the results of these visual investigations.

MACA Thesis Exhibition Explores Issues of Social Justice, July 15-31

Grounded in the principles of social justice, MACA immerses artists in intensive work with children, youth and adults in community settings, with most of the fieldwork conducted in the surrounding Baltimore neighborhoods.

Alumni Artwork Available Through 15x15 Sale

MICA’s popular annual tradition expands to a permanent online exhibition, 15x15/365 Online Alumni Gallery and Sale, featuring works by MICA alumni. Throughout the year, various artists and themes will be highlighted with curated online exhibitions. The exhibition presents more than 250 pieces of art from 72 alumni participants.

MICA Mounts M.F.A. in Studio Art Thesis Exhibition, June 29–July 10

The summer thesis exhibition for the MFAST program will feature the work of eight graduating artists from this unique low-residency program, on view Tuesday, June 29-Saturday, July 10 in the Decker, Meyerhoff and Pinkard galleries.
